The simultaneous growth witnessed at Small and Medium Enterprises Developement Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN),along with the Director General,Dr Umaru Radda who is 51,was a testimony of his team work in the last few years, at the mantle of leadership of the Agency.
Radda an academic turns technocrat had been at the helms of affairs of an Agency, that is corridor of economic emancipation,social equilibrium and human advancement that drives the economic,social cum political developement of Nigeria.
Aside the primary aims of promoting the participation of small scale businesses across the country,it is also the driver of both intervention programs of the government and hub for ease in the distribution of political dividends by politicians to their constituents.
No doubt since the assumption of duty,some politicians who were marvelled by the level of transparency and sincerity of the Management under Dr Radda, prefers domiciing their Constituency projects in the Agency.
This he had achieved with all sincerity of purpose,without fear of favour, no religious inclination,but purely on merit and due process to the advancement of small scale engagements.
With staffers who believes strongly in due dilligence,result oriented and geared towards the best practices,Radda’s assignment in SMEDAN is simplified to deliver on the policies and programs of the Federal government.
Dr Umaru Radda pro-activeness is also in tandem with the demands of post COVID-19 era, where alot of economies of developed, underdeveloped and developing countries like Nigeria need to be rejigged through Small and Medium Scale businesses to enhance good quality of living.
He has created an enabling environment for the soft landing of government programs and policies that will mitigate the harsh effects of world emergency pandemic, through concerted efforts.
This is in addition to already prepared template that will drive the entire policies seamlessly towards the economic rejuvenation of ordinary Nigerians, in line with the mandate of the Agency.
Dr Radda with already cocooned staff with high motivation to meeting the expectations of Nigerians, will not leave any stone unturned towards the reactivation of day to day activities of ordinary Nigerians through SMEDAN.
