Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency at the Nation Assembly, Hon. Idrissu Lawal has commended Governor Yahaya Bello over the Monday visit to the Russian Ambassador in Abuja in continuation of his quest for the revitalization of the ailing Ajaokuta Steel complex.
Hon. Lawal described the move as step in the right direction, said the visit underscore the governor interest in bringing prosperity to the state; which is in line with his. own desire as a federal lawmaker.
He said the determination of the President Muhammedu Buhari and efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello towards revamping the ailing Steel company excites the people of the area and steer joy amongst his constituent.
The second term lawmaker said no better gift can be giving to his people beside the complete turn around of the Steel company towards working in full capacity.
He said the people of his constituency has seen the great determination of President Buhari in revamping the company; which is more than any of his predecessors; and eulogized the President for taking the right step in the right direction.
Lawal also said governor Yahaya Bello’s has continuous pressure on the President towards breathing life to the Steel company remained unparalleled when compared with his predecessors; and a demonstration of his love for Ajaokuta people.
Lawal stressed that a completed Ajaokuta Steel company would generate massive employment and create wealth for the people of the state and Nigeria at large.
He encouraged the Governor and the President not to relent in their efforts until Ajaokuta Steel company is completed and functional for the benefit of Kogi people and Nigerians.
He also promised on behalf of the constituency, to support every efforts that will bring Ajaokuta back on stream.
“I promised our unalloyed loyalty and support to the federal and state governments. We will do our possible best to ensure the success of the Federal and state governments.”
