Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented certificate of return to Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello winner of the governorship election in Kogi State.
The Federal Commissioner in charge of North Central States Alhaji Mohammed Haruna made the presentation on behalf of the chairman of the independent national electoral commission Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
The federal commissioner advised the winner of the election to embark on reconciliation since according to him, the election was characterized by violence in order to heal the wound of the past.
Mr Haruna urged governor Bello to deliver good governance to the people of the state to herald a new beginning in the Democratic dispensation of the state.
Governor Bello in a remark, said his second term in office would bring more development to the citizenry without political and class difference.
He said perpetrators of violence during the recent governorship election would be arrested and tried in court as electoral offenders in the state .
