
The Kogi State Government has been thrown into mourning following the death of Hon. Excel Onuche David, the Special Senior Assistant (SSA) on Grassroots Sensitization and Mobilization.
His death was confirmed on Monday by his Personal Assistant, Festus Nda Balogun.
Until his passing, David served as SSA on Grassroots Sensitization and Mobilization, a position through which he played a key role in promoting government policies and strengthening engagement between the government and citizens at the grassroots level.
Known for his dedication to public outreach, David actively championed initiatives aimed at increasing civic awareness, encouraging community participation in governance, and enhancing communication between government institutions and local communities across Kogi State.
Throughout his service, he worked closely with stakeholders, community leaders, and residents to ensure that government programmes and policies were effectively communicated to the people. His efforts earned him respect among political associates, community members, and government officials.
Colleagues and associates described him as a committed public servant whose passion for grassroots mobilization contributed significantly to fostering stronger relationships between the government and the people.
His death marks the end of a notable chapter in grassroots advocacy and public engagement in Kogi State.
