The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Idah, Dr. Y.B. Usman, has extended warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslim staff, students and the entire Polytechnic community, urging them to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, peace, unity and devotion exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
In his Sallah message issued on behalf of the institution’s management, the Rector said Eid Al-Adha symbolizes total obedience, faith and sacrifice, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to submit to Allah’s command to sacrifice his son, Ismail (AS).
Dr. Usman noted that the celebration serves as a reminder for humanity to uphold values of patience, selflessness, compassion and trust in God.
He called on members of the Polytechnic community to use the festive period to promote harmonious coexistence irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, while also praying for the continued peace, progress and stability of the institution and the country.
The Rector further encouraged staff and students to strengthen the spirit of togetherness and mutual understanding during the celebration.
He prayed that Allah would accept the acts of worship and sacrifices of the faithful, bless their homes with peace and prosperity, and grant them many more years in good health and happiness.
“Eid Mubarak,” the Rector said.
