A grassroots political mobilization group in Kogi State, Tinubu, Ododo Polling Units Voice (Top-V), has unveiled plans to deliver all 4,351 polling units in the state to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group, under the leadership of its Director General, Hon. Haruna Ganaja, and Coordinator, Hon. Lawal Egbolo, said it has begun strategic efforts aimed at strengthening support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and other APC candidates across the state.

Speaking with journalists in Lokoja, Egbolo said the group was committed to carrying out what he described as a “positive and radical” campaign in every polling unit across Kogi State.

According to him, Top-V is not merely a political support group but a well-structured grassroots movement with deep roots in local communities.

He said the organisation would leverage its presence at the grassroots to mobilise support for the APC and ensure victory for the party in the next election cycle.

“Top-V is fully prepared to mobilise support for Mr. President, Governor Ododo and all APC candidates in Kogi State. We are deeply integrated into the grassroots because that is where every election is won,” Egbolo said.

The coordinator further disclosed that the group would establish a feedback mechanism in all the 21 local government areas of the state to improve communication between government and the people.

He explained that the initiative would help close the gap between political leaders and residents at the community level, while also bringing governance closer to the people.

“We shall put in place a feedback machinery across the 21 LGAs to bridge the gap between government and the people and make governance more responsive to the grassroots,” he added.

Political observers say the emergence of Top-V is already reshaping the political atmosphere in Kogi State, with the group reportedly enjoying the support of party leaders, community stakeholders and other influential figures within the APC.

Analysts also believe that by concentrating its efforts on polling units rather than only ward or local government headquarters, the group is focusing on the critical point where electoral victories are ultimately determined.

With growing support from key party stakeholders, Top-V is expected to play a major role in the APC’s mobilisation drive as the party works to retain its political dominance in Kogi State and strengthen its position ahead of 2027.
