The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo has said that peaceful, transparent, and widely accepted conduct of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Congresses is a clear demonstration of the unity, political maturity, and strong internal democratic culture that define the party in Kogi State.

In his commendation message to the Kogi APC family on the successful conduct of the ward and local government congresses, the Governor said the adoption of the consensus approach in most areas further reflects their collective commitment to harmony, inclusiveness, and the greater interest of the party above individual ambitions.

The congratulatry message read as follows:

“My dear leaders, stakeholders, and faithful members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, I extend my warmest congratulations to every member of our great party across the 239 Wards and 21 Local Government Areas of our dear state on the successful conclusion of our Ward and Local Government Congresses.

“The peaceful, transparent, and widely accepted conduct of the Congresses is a clear demonstration of the unity, political maturity, and strong internal democratic culture that define the APC in Kogi State. The adoption of the consensus approach in most areas further reflects our collective commitment to harmony, inclusiveness, and the greater interest of the party above individual ambitions. I am particularly proud of the discipline, cooperation, and sense of responsibility displayed by our members throughout the exercise. The calm and orderly atmosphere recorded across the state is a testament to the strength of our structure and the deep-rooted belief of our people in the ideals of our party.

“Let me express profound appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his purposeful and courageous leadership of our great nation and our party. His bold reforms and unwavering commitment to repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth continue to inspire confidence and strengthen our resolve as a progressive family.

“I also commend the National Working Committee of our party for the seamless coordination and supervision of the Congresses. Their insistence on due process and strict adherence to the party’s constitution once again confirms that the APC remains the largest and most organized political party in Africa. I also commend the State Working Committee of the party for their cooperation and hard work that gave birth to the success we are celebrating today.

“To the Committee from the National Headquarters that oversaw the exercise in Kogi State, I thank you for your transparency, fairness, and integrity. Your professionalism ensured that the process met the highest standards expected of our party.

“To those who have emerged to steer the affairs of our party at the Ward and Local Government levels for the next four years, I congratulate you. Your emergence is not merely a victory; it is a call to service. I urge you to deepen grassroots mobilization, strengthen party unity, and uphold the ideology and principles that make our party the preferred platform of the people.

“The successful Congresses have reaffirmed that our party truly belongs to the people. Our strength lies in our unity, our structure, and the shared belief that the APC is a vehicle for progress, development, and inclusive governance.

“As we look to the future, I assure Mr. President that Kogi State remains solidly behind him. The support he has consistently extended to our state will undoubtedly be reciprocated with overwhelming support in the 2027 general elections.

“Our party in Kogi State stands united, focused, and prepared for the tasks ahead. Together, we will continue to consolidate our gains, expand our reach, and remain the dominant political force in our state.
