Ahead of 2027 general election, the
former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on Tuesday met with the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Alhaji Suleiman Baba Ali, at his Abuja residence on how to deliver the state for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 Presidential election.

During the visit, the trio deliberated on strategies aimed at supporting both Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, while strengthening party unity, consolidating on the gains recorded under the previous administration, and enhancing political inclusion among party stakeholders across the three senatorial districts of the state.

The engagement also underscored the need for sustained collaboration among leaders of the APC to ensure continued peace, stability, and progress in Kogi State.

Senator Karimi and Alhaji Suleiman Baba Ali commended the former governor for his enduring commitment to the growth and cohesion of the party, noting that his leadership legacy continues to serve as a rallying point for progressive forces within and outside the state.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with a renewed resolve to deepen consultation, promote good governance, and foster greater unity among party members as preparations for future political engagements continue.

Recall that in a remarkable and overwhelming demonstration of consolidation and continuity, party faithful, supporters, and followers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 239 wards of Kogi State unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term during a grand rally held in Lokoja on October 18, 2025.

The massive endorsement, which sent positive shockwaves across the media landscape, was a clear expression of appreciation for the outstanding leadership and transformative achievements of Mr. President, particularly in line with his Renewed Hope policy agenda.
