Former Kogi Speaker, Rt. Hon. Prince Mathew Kolawole Attends 75th Service of Songs at Christ Apostolic Church, Okoro-Gbede.
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Olusola Kolawole, joined the congregation of Christ Apostolic Church, Gbede DCC Headquarters Choir, Oke-Alafia, Okoro-Gbede, to mark their 75th Service of Songs and the official launching of ₦10 million worth of musical instruments.
The event, which was filled with praise, worship, and thanksgiving, also featured the official public announcement of Rt. Hon. Kolawole as the Grand Patron of the Choir, a role he has graciously held but which was formally unveiled to the congregation and the public during the program.
In his remarks, the former Speaker commended the church leadership and the choir for their consistency in service and their contributions to the spiritual growth of the community. He described music as a powerful tool of worship that inspires faith and uplifts souls.
Rt. Hon. Kolawole also congratulated the church for sustaining the legacy of the Service of Songs over the decades and encouraged them to continue to be a source of light to the people of Okoro-Gbede and beyond.
The program further witnessed the dedication of new musical instruments valued at ₦10 million, aimed at strengthening the worship experience and empowering the choir in their ministry.
Dignitaries, community leaders, and members of the church expressed their joy at the success of the event and appreciated Rt. Hon. Kolawole for honoring the invitation, identifying with the church, and accepting to serve as the Choir Grand Patron.
