Prince Olatunji Olusoji has call on the state government to take swift and decisive action to ensure that the perpetrators of this senseless killing in Yagba axis by some gunmen are brought to justice.
In a statement issued on Saturday, he condemned in the strongest terms the recent tragic killings that occurred in Egbe, Yagba-West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
His words:
“This unfortunate and heartbreaking incident has left the community in shock and deep mourning.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, the Egbe community, the whole of Yagba-West Local Government Area of Kogi State, and the Nigerian Police Force, whose gallant officers paid the ultimate price in the line of duty. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
“I call on the state government to take swift and decisive action to ensure that the perpetrators of this senseless violence are brought to justice. Now more than ever, there is a need for a prompt and comprehensive intervention to restore peace and heal the wounds inflicted by this tragedy.
“I also urge citizens to remain vigilant and to cooperate fully with our security operatives by promptly reporting any suspicious activities. Our collective resolve and unity will go a long way in curbing the activities of criminal elements in our midst.
“Even in this dark moment, I believe that Egbe and Yagba-West will rise stronger. Let us stand together in unity as we mourn our loved ones and work toward a safer, more peaceful not just Egbe but Kogi west and Kogi state.May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace.
