Senator Tunde Ogbeha on Monday unveiled the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the official platform for coalition of opposition parties in Kogi state.
Senator Ogbeha who is the Kogi State Co-ordinator of the ADC, coalition of opposition parties said their intention to Flagg off the unveiling of the party in the state but unfortunately, the death of the former President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday they decided to do the unveiling in a low key
The former Senator who represented Kogi west at the National Assembly under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) now member of the ADC noted that the former President did his best for the nation when he was president.
He noted that even though ADC has been unveiled in a low key in the state, stressed that they will soon kick start activities of the party across the state.
Also speaking Senator Dino Melaye said they have decided to unveiled the party in a low key to honour late former President Muhammadu Buhari who passed away in a London clinic on Sunday.
The former deputy governor of Kogi State, Chief Simon Achuba while speaking said ones the activities of the party kick off, they will make sure ADC penetrated all nocks and cranny of the state adding that they party is full ready for 2027 general election.
Meanwhile, the Senator representing Kogi central, Senator Natasha-Akpoti- Uduaga and other PDP members at the National and state assembly were not present at the unveiling.
Among those present are Kogi State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Engr. Sam Uhuotu, Kogi State ADC Chairman Mr. Kingsley Oga, former deputy governor of Kogi State Chief Simon Achuba, Senator Dino Melaye and others.
