The People’s Democratic Party in Kogi State has been asked to be weary, of carrying a baggage of liability, by still allowing Enemona Anyebe to still be presiding as the Chairman in her State Working Committee Meetings.

Hon. Muhammed Sani Gambo, who says he is the awaiting Chairman, cautioned the PDP, pointing out that, it is laughable and Stark ignorance and that is not excusable in law, still allowing Enemona Anyebe preside as Chairman of the Party in the State.

Hon. Muhammed was reacting to a news item captioned: KOGI PDP HOLDS STATE CONGRESS ADVOCATE UNITY TO CONFRONT CHALLENGES, in which Enemona was said to have presided, lamented that even after the Party at the last Jos Zonal Congress, failed to recognize Enemona as Chairman, expressed worry that a people with information and knowledge will allow darkness becloud their sense of reasoning, by still allowing a man the court had asked to be arrested for contempt, but still hiding, will still preside over her meeting as Chairman.

Recall my several letters to all the organs of the PDP Petitioning the Disobedience of Contempt Proceedings By Enemona Anyebe, will Still Parade Himself As Chairman Kogi PDP.

I, Hon. Muhammad Sani Gambo, winner Kogi State PDP Congress, held on 31 August, 2024, has written to intimate the People’s Democratic Party Leadership of the serious consequences awaiting our Party in Kogi State on several occasion.

At the State Congress of our Party held on the 31st August, 2024. A Kogi State High Court issued an order on 31st July, 2024, suit no HC/OKP/54/2024 where Enemona Anyebe and respondents 1-7 were bound to obey.

In suit no: HC/OKP/8/2024, Motion No:HC/OKO/55M/2024, the Court on 31st day of July, 2024 made an order against Enemona Anyebe, barred him from contesting the PDP State Congress.

The said Enemona Anyebe was barred from purchase of PDP Chairmanship nomination form, presenting himself from being screened and to participate in the State Congress. This order Your Excellency, was violated abinitio.

But in brazen disobedience to the Court order, which was not appealed and vacated, he presented himself for the election leaving much to be desired. Permit me to State that the ruling APC is now making a mockery of the PDP, waiting in the wings to take advantage of that shortcomings.

It may also interest the Leaders of our Party and the public to know that on 18th February, 2025, Justice Yahaya Adamu of the Kogi State High Court further delivered another judgement where he declared as follows: “The 7th respondents, Enemona Anyebe’s participation in the PDP State Congress of 31/08/2024 is illegal, null and void and hence his purported declaration by PDP as elected official is null and void”, ordered for his arrest.

Enemona Anyebe’s case is a clear case of brazen disobedience of subsisting orders of the honourable court. He made a caricature of himself to participate in the State Congress contrary to the orders of the court, thus making him to be contemptuous.

It is with emphasis, that the court order till date has not been vacated by any appellate court order setting aside the earlier order.

It is therefore on this premise that I wish to draw the attention to the above order and Judgment by the following Courts that attempt for the Kogi State party to still recognize Enemona Anyebe and to still allow him parade himself as Chairman of the Party in the State is contempt and utter disobedience of the Court.

The PDP is a Party built on justice and the rule of law. For a party to still allow Enemona to still be purportedly parading himself as Chairman amount to gross violation of contempt proceedings.

Let me draw the attention of the public that the 31st August, 2024 PDP State Congress was an election, I, Hon. Muhammad Sani Gambo won as the only rightful participant, as Enemona Anyebe was not qualified to contest as contained in the High Court Judgment.

Let me State to the Party and the public to allow Justice prevail as I’m the duly elected Chairman of the State PDP.

Let me add that failure to still be allowing Enemona to still purportedly parade himself as Chairman, is a contempt proceeding, will spell doom for the Party in 2027 following the outright disobedience of the court.

The issue of contempt having been established against Enemona Anyebe, is criminal, an outright violation of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I, therefore make bold to State that the matter is before courts of competent jurisdiction and no matter how highly placed Enemona assumes to be, should not be above the law.

I’m therefore appealing for Justice and all the security agencies to act swiftly and protect the nation’s constitution and the PDP.

My latest petition is predicted on the fact that Kogi state chapter of the opposition People’s Democratic party [PDP], at its state working committee meeting held in Lokoja on 18th June, 2025, purportedly claimed that Enemona Anyebe preside as the Chairman of the State working Committee.

The impersonated chairman’s address was signed and made available to Newsmen by the state secretary of the party, Alhaji Umoru Tijani Aruwa.
