THE Kogi State Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic party, (PDP), in the coming November 16 Governorship elections Engr. Musa Wada, has assured the people of the state that governor, Yahaya Bello would be defeated in the coming election.
Speaking on Friday at the PDP state Secretariat in Lokoja, during the inauguration of his campaign council to Kickstarter his electioneering campaign.
He noted that the people of the state has since rejected Governor Bello and his party, the All Progressive Congress, (APC), for what he described as monumental failure of the administration.
According to Wada, he was in the race to join hands with other concerned Kogi indigenes to rescue the state from acute poverty, underdevelopment and hunger, which he said was inflicted on the people by the APC led government in the state.
“What do I tell you again. You can see it by yourselves. There is acute hunger, deprivation, collapse of critical infrastructures, humiliation. We must all rise to the occasion and save the state from further decay. He said.
He called on the people not to be discouraged, saying that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
He assured that the people are determined to vote out the APC and entrenched good governance which he said is the Hallmark of democratic rule.
Wada therefore called on the Federal Government and the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure a level playing field for all parties.
