Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has warned Corp members against disseminating the activities on the social media platforms to avoid facing the wrath of the agency.

Ahmed handed this warning while interacting with the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream ll corps members deployed to Katsina state at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, MD Yusuf complex along Mani road, Katsina.

He said such bad acts by any corps member during the orientation course would warrant instant dismissal from the camp.

Similarly, the NYSC Boss urged the corps members to avoid being involve in drug abuse and other vices to enable them become responsible youths and good leaders tomorrow.

He further urged them to participate in all camp activities such as skills acquisition and entrepreneurship lectures to enable them to become self-reliant at the end of the service year.

According to him, white collar jobs are no longer available, adding that the orientation courses are designed to help them face the challenges after the service year to realize their dream future.

Ahmed also admonished the corps members against seeking for redeployment, rather they should focus on opportunities given them during the orientation course to better their future in their respective places of postings. On the issue of Corp members’ security, he said, the Service is in touch with the Military, the DSS, the Police and other critical stakeholders to guarantee their safety in all parts of the country.

He explained that the service had written to the various sister security agencies, asking them to secure all routes where Corp Members would utilize to reach their various camps, which he believed they have done so.

Ahmed concluded that arrangements have been made to ensure the safety and security of Corp Members deployed across the country, pledging that, Corp Members would continue to be sensitized with security tips through security lectures in the camp to guide them on how best to secure themselves.

“I am highly impressed with the good number of Corp Members here. They are able and good to go. My message to the Corps Members is that, let them listen to the instructions and ensure they are law abiding citizens”, he said..
