A REBUTTAL OF A NEGATIVE TRENDING STORY ON OMOSEBI HOSPITAL, GAA AKANBI, ILORIN, KWARA STATE.
Kogiflame
MORTUARY AT OMOSEBI HOSPITAL NOT RUN BY OMOSEBI HOSPITAL. SPACE ONLY LET OUT TO THE OPERATOR OF THE MORTUARY.
OMOSEBI Hospital remains one of the earliest health care facilities in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital. It had and still continues to churn out its high standard level of medicare to all categories of patients patronizing its facilities.
Like every other first class privately owned hospitals in Kwara, OMOSEBI is licensed to operate in the state by the relevant government agencies. This approval was not without a physical presence of officials of these agencies to conduct the mandatory inspection tour of its facilities.
It is therefore surprising to the Management of this hospital to be receiving messages of a great concern from friends of the hospital on unfounded rumours trending on the social media about its supposed poor handling of its mortuary services. This development smacks of the poor attitude of some bloggers to news balancing considered as a great etiquette in reportorial skills.
To put the records straight, the gigantic edifice housing OMOSEBI hospital has several compartments serving multifaceted functions. One of these compartments is under the management of a different business concern, rendering morgue services to the public. The apartment in question was secured under a lease agreement by the lessee, while OMOSEBI serves as the lessor.
The mode of running the morgue, the available facilities in it and even the billing systems are not known to the Management of OMOSEBI hospital. It is therefore appropriate to note that the occupiers of the edifice have no nexus in their daily running of their facilities.
Therefore, OMOSEBI hospital remains a centre of excellence and a safe haven to all its patients. The hospital receives living entities and not corpses.
We sincerely hope that this rebuttal will put the records right to any diligent mind that the morgue owners run their business separate from that of the management of OMOSEBI hospital. Where observable lapses are noticed, in the handling of the mortuary such should strictly be directed at the owners of the morgue and not the owner of the building.
Kindly give this report the widest publicity coverage just as given to the offensive and damaging reports on OMOSEBI hospital.
Signed
Management
OMOSEBI Hospital.
