The Kogi State Forum of Political Office Holders 2012-2016 under the administration of Capt. Idris Wada have rejoiced with the governoship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman for winning the case at the Appeal Court.
Recalled that the Court of Appeal in Abuja, on Friday, dismissed the appeal filed by a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State, Abubakar Achimugu, seeking to nullify the primary election of the party, which produced Usman Ododo as the APC Governorship candidate for the election slated for November 11 in the state.
The court held in a unanimous judgment that the appeal challenging the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja lacked merit and dismissed it accordingly.
In a statement signed by Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Ainoko Sadiq, former Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Barr. Kayode Olowomoran, Former Commissioner For Culture and Tourism, the forum expressed happinesses saying his victory at the court shows that the primary election that gave him the victory was free and fair.
The forum therefore called the few ones that are aggrieved to allow peace to reign and rally round the APC governoship candidate for the November 11 Governorship election.
The forum also called on Senator Smart Adeyemi and Abubakar Achimugu respectively to lay down their swords and make peace with the party before the election so that both of them will not be left behind after the election.
The group equally commended the Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his leadership in the state saying governor Bello has proved to the people of this country particularly the people of Kogi state being a leader you must always carried your people along.
The Forum ones again expressed confidence that even without the palliative fund, the Gov. Bello’s administration has out in place measures to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal, urged Mr. President to discountenance the satanic thought of never do well political actors trying to put clog in the state’s wheel of development.
