The Senator representing Kogi West and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Kogi State, Dino Melaye, has urged Nigerians to embrace love and ensure peaceful co-existence among one another as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.
Melaye, who said that the Eid-el-Kabir celebration is not only a time for merriment, but a time for sober reflections on happenings in the country including imbibing the right virtues, added that Nigeria will overcome the challenges facing it soon.
The lawmaker also urged the people of Kogi State to remain steadfast and resolute in thier quest to have a New Kogi State, assuring that the collective aspiration of Kogites is achievable through the November 16, 2019 governorship election.
“This year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration offers us another opportunity to reflect on the virtues of love, peace and tolerance without which our nation can be united. If we all imbibe positive virtues, Nigeria will soon overcome its present challenges.
“To my good people of Kogi who are languishing in the misfortune of bad governance, a new Kogi State is possible and achievable come November 16 when we will go to the poll through your steadfastness and resolution to make things right,” Melaye said.
He further counselled Nigerians irrespective of political beliefs, religion and creed to be tolerant of another other in the spirit of the season in order to engender a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria that belongs to all.
Also the National Woman Leader of All Progressives Congress(APC), Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma has stressed the need for the peaceful co-existence as the hallmark of an average Muslims and way of life

said “You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace (Islam). Do not follow in the footsteps of satan. He is an outright enemy to you.’
She stated that the significance of the celebration of the occasion, should reflects our faith in Allah, as the sacrifice portrayed our convenant with mankind which translates to blessing in our homes and endeavours
Similarly the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole has also felicitated with Muslims faithful across the globe particularly those in Kogi State on the successful celebration of this year’ Eid-El-Kabir.

enjoined all Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (May Peace Be Upon Him) and be more committed to the oneness and development of the country.
The Speakers appealed to those who were able to perform this year Hajj which is a cardinal tenet of the Islamic faith as enjoined by Prophet Mohammed (May Peace Be Upon Him) to pray earnestly for the peace, growth and unity of not only Kogi State but Nigeria as a whole.
He said with the maximum supports and cooperation of the two major faiths in the nation, in no distance time the country will over its security challenges, urging Nigerians to show more commitment in moving the country forward.
He noted that the current administration under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari is working tirelessly to put the nation on the pedestrian of joining the progressive countries.
He commended the new direction administration led by Governor Yahaya Bello in fulfilling its promises to pay workers salary from the recent release of the bailout fund, urging the workers to be more dedicated to duties for the administration to achieve better for the state.
