Your Excellency,
I wish to congratulate you on your well deserved victory as the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at the Feb,25, 2023, Presidential election of Nigeria.Your victory after just one attempt must be a great object of lessons for you and all politicians, particularly in Nigeria, that service to our fatherland and indeed humanity at the long run are always rewarded.This indeed is your reward for the selfless service you continued to render to our fatherland.
For me, the totality of the 2023 Presidential election holds many lessons for our democracy and democratisation process which are both maturing with the peaceful and orderly, free, fair and transparent manner the process leading to this election leading to your victory have been handled.
On this occasion, the system has been unnecessarily overheated before and particularly during the campaigns when emphasis was more on trivialities and hate, divisive, undignifying and disrespectful statements and occasioned by the campaigns and the evil disciples.
With so much harms done to many national institutions, you will have a lot to do on institutional reforms, education, healthcare, economy, security, infrastructure, power, youth, external affairs, cohesiveness of our nation and ridding our land of corruption just as President Mohammadu Buhari has done.
Your varied and wide experience will undoubtedly stand you in good stead.I am also sure that there are men and women of goodwill, character and virtue scattered across the board that you can mobilise to join hands with you in the reforms, repairs and redirection that will be imperative to put Nigeria back on the fast lane of good governance, unity, cohesiveness, developments and progress.
