A court in Abuja has granted the registration of a UK court order made on the 26th May 2022 against Former Presidential Aspirant and Oil and Gas business man Gbenga Toyosi Olawepo-Hashim in a divorce suit instituted by his ex wife, Mrs Funmi Olawepo-Hashim.

Mr Olawepo-Hashim failed to meet the compliance date of 8th July 2022 where he was ordered to pay his ex wife the sum of £15m and other lump sum for the children’s tuition and periodical payment for upkeep. Nigeria has a reciprocal agreement with the United Kingdom such that orders made in either jurisdiction are enforceable in the either countries. Mr Olawepo-Hashim lived in the UK with his ex wife and children until the separation.

Sitting in the High Court in FCT Abuja, Justice Belgore granted the plaintiff the execution order towards the recovery of the debt owed by the embattled former Presidential aspirant who has failed to pay child support and children’s upkeep since the separation and divorce.

Police and law enforcement agents stormed one of his address at 40 Inuwa Crescent Utako, Abuja believed to be one of his known addresses to carry out the court order. See pictures and videos
