The Adamu Mahmoud Atta Support Group AMASG has donated eleven sharon buses to the Atiku / Okowa Campaign Council in Kogi to assist the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in its prosecution of the 2023 general elections.
Receiving the vehicles from the support group, the kogi state Director General, Presidential Campaign council, Architect Yomi Awoniyi assured of PDP winning the general elections.
Awoniyi who was a former Deputy Governor in the administration of Captain Idris Wada thanked the promoter of AMASG , Mahmoud Atta, for his concern and commitment to the winning streak of PDP , promising to utilise the vehicles for seamless electioneering campaigns.
He called on the people of kogi state to collect their PVCs as that is the only weapon to exercise their franchise asking the electorate to vote for PDP to reset the country.
This is just as the zonal and local Government Areas Coordinators have been formally inaugurated to mobilise electorates to vote enmass for all the candidates of the PDP.
While inaugurating the Coordinators in Lokoja on Thursday, the Director General of the group, Sam Abenemi charge them to redouble their efforts to guarantee landslide victory for the party.
Abenemi disclosed that the AMASG is different from other support group as it has not limited its operations to media propaganda, but active mobilisation of the grassroots.
He said , since politics is local based, they should work assiduously to woo voters irrespective of their political affiliations.
He added that the aim of the group is to mobilise voters from the polling units , wards and local government, saying they are expected to remain in their localities to harvest voters for the PDP.
The DG explained that the philosophy of the party as distinct from all others is to move Nigeria forward from the bottom to the top, charging them to ensure that all the candidates of the party wins their elections.
He called on each of the coordinators to ensure that at least 150,000 voters are attracted to the party, saying the group is determined to bring in one million votes to the party.
He disclosed that the Adamu Mahmoud Atta Support Group is reputed to be the only one with functional offices across the 21 Local Government Councils and three Zonal offices across kogi state.
He assured the Coordinators of equal opportunity in the party , hence , their commitment to the task of galvanising votes for the party should be sacrosanct.
He assure them of adequate Mobilisation of logistics and financial support to enable them to effectively undertake the task .
While commending the Promoter of the Support Group, Adamu Mahmoud Atta for his commitment to Atiku/Okowa presidency, assure of the ability and capacity of the coordinators to return the PDP to power in 2023 elections.
In their separate remarks on behalf of the Coordinators,, Benson Alida, Atule Okoche and Olugbenga Olorunnipa described the group as novel and first of its kind to have functional presence in all the local Government Areas of kogi state.
They insisted that Kogi state belong to the PDP despite the unfortunate incidence of APC , stressing to work assiduously to ensure PDP wins with wide margin in the forthcoming general elections.
