Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has flagged off Exercise Enduring Peace 2 as he tasked Military officers to flush out criminals from the state.

He also commended the joint security personnel for their resilience and dogged efforts to secure the state.

Governor Bello made this known on Tuesday during the official flag off Exercise Enduring Peace Second at Adu along Okene-Ajaokuta express road, Kogi state.

According to the governor, his administration is committed to protecting the lives and property’s of the people, stressing that the state government will continue to support the exercise till eternity.

Governor Bello who hailed the traditional fathers and council chairmen, charged them to live above board in providing useful information to the security at all times.

The governor emphasized that security is the topmost agenda of the present administration under the leadership of President Muhammedu Buhari, stressed that peace, unity and development remain the fulcrum of his government.

In his welcome speech, the commander, Command Army Record Major General Sunday Igbinomwanhia praised the governor for his timely support to security needs of the state, saying his efforts towards security is unprecedented and uncommon in recent times.

The commander, noted that the aim of the operation is to check the activities of criminal elements in the state, saying they are spurred to smoke out any criminal in the state.

He maintained that among the activities of the exercise, medical services will be rendered to the host communities and that they will work hand in hand with the community for effective operation.

Major General Igbinomwanhia pointed out that the exercise often comes up at the last quarter of the year and will last within this yuletide period .
