Hon. Suleiman Abdulkareem Onyekehi, the Special Adviser to Gov. Yahaya Bello on Special Projects, has described the official projection of Lokoja as the third fastest growing city in African continent by the Google Wikipedia, as the affirmation of the transformational achievements under GYB’s Administration in Kogi State.

Google Wikipedia in its recent report, projected Lokoja to be the third fastest growing African continent city between 2020 and 2025, with a 5.9% growth.

Speaking to journalists in Lokoja, Onyekehi said the feat was possible under GYB’s Administration due to the Governor’s undying passion and commitment to the infrastructural development in the confluence city and the state at large.

Onyekehi, who also posted the google wikipedia report on his Facebook page, urged the governor’s distractors to acquaint themselves with such positive news about Kogi under GYB administration rather than promotion of fabricated falsehoods to score cheap political goals.

According to him, the governor has performed tremendously well in infrastructural developments in rural and urban modernization, roads, bridges, hospitals, water projects, rural electrifications, among others.

He stressed that Kogi under the previous administration was economically lifeless, backwardness, infrastructural decayed, insecured and dilapidated State inherited by GYB in 2016.

He also eulogised the governor for his achievements in ensuring equity, fairness, justice to all citizens irrespective of tribe and religion which he said had resulted to the unity of the people of the state.

He noted that before the coming of GYB in 2016, Kogi was a den of criminals of all kinds and crimes was a daily routines.

He said that the fight against insecurity despite being at the centre of the country bordering 9 states including FCT, had yielded great results which had made Kogi to be one of the safest States in Nigeria.

Onyekehi, who doubles as the State Focal Person of National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), said the Governor has empowered women and youths in skills’ acquisitions, agriculture, businesses and social development.

He stressed that the Governor has involved more youths and women in governance through the appointment of vibrant youths in his cabinet and at all levels, stressing that over 80% of his appointees are of youthful age brackets including himself.

He, therefore urged Nigerians to ignore the distractors of the Governor and discard the fake news and falsehoods being orchestrated by peddlers about the performing Governor.

”Those peddling lies are rather the enemies of the state who don’t like progress, peace, unity and transformation agenda of New Direction APC-led administration of GYB.

”Yahaya Bello is rather sacrificing all he could to developing the state, unite and empowering women and youths, as well as protecting the future of younger generations with a good foundation,” he said.

He restated that the Governor has warned promoters of political violence and send a strong riot act to the criminals and reiterated the readiness of government to ensure violence promoters face the full wrath of the law.
