The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Prince Matthew Kolawole has said that whatever anybody says, the Kogi State governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello is his political father.
Speaking with newsmen on Sunday in Lokoja, the speaker said the governor has done somuch for the people of the state and and other stakeholders in the state.
He pointed out that since the creation of the state what governor Yahaya Bello has put in place in terms of infrastructural develolment is far above previous administrations.
He stated that governor Bello’s effort in uniting the people of the state is another major factor that previous administrations refused to do.
According to him, he was no body politically before governor Bello came on board and developed him politically.
“I thank the governor for what he is doing for the people of the state. He is my political godfather. He brought me into political limelight and today am very great full to him.
In the area of security Kogi State remain the best secured state in the country and also in the area of education, their is no strike in all the tertiary institutions in the state.
“The state university in Osara is another major achievement of the governor. At Ganaja junction we always witnessed heavy traffic but today the construction of first fly over in that junction has reduced heavy traffic drastically. People can now move without any holdup.
Also in the area of health, he said the governor has done well, adding that the newly established hospital in Okene and also the one in Kogi Local Government Areas and the renovation of the Kogi State Specialist hospital shows that governor Bello is on of the best governor in health sector.
He that thanked the Governor for his effort by making sure that dividend of democracy reaches nuks and cranny of the state.
