Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole, member representing Kabba/Bunu State Constituency and Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly has become someone whose rising political profile is now a nightmare to some individuals who could not understand the wave of God in his life.
According to the Book of Proverbs chapter 4 verse 7 -9
“Wisdom is a principal thing: therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”
“Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her”.
“She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee”.
From the above Bible verse, it is evidently clear that the Speaker is working in the grace and wisdom of God which has helped him above his contemporary politically hence instead of jealousy and hatred they need to embrace him as his own light can also shine upon them.
Politics is all about interest that is devoid of all forms of sentiments either family, age, culture or religion affiliation hence it is expected that whoever need the support of the people for his or her aspiration to any office should do so without trying to assassinate anyone’s character rather such individual should seek for the grace and wisdom that will help him or her to push through.
However, haven tried all they could do to stop the glistering image and rising political profile of Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole to the national political space, they resorted to blackmail, malign, lies and name callings just to discredit his hard earned reputation within and outside the government.
It is good to reiterate that there has been no time that the Speaker either openly or secretly said he wants to contest for the office Governor or Deputy Governor of Kogi State come 2024 rather it is an open secret that he has been so committed to the actualization of the Presidential aspiration Governor Yahaya Bello; any other insinuation to the contrary is just a mere fabrication and display of malicious mischief.
It will be recalled that sometimes last year some of his constituents who believes in his leadership and also saw in him the capacity and capability to provide qualitative representation at the national level beckoned on him to run for the Federal House of Representatives to represent Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency come 2023 as he remain the only political gladiator that can change the narrative by rescuing the Federal Constituency from the long time rule of the main opposition party, (PDP).
The Speaker is prepared to answer the calls by many groups for him to run for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency seat this week, because he has vowed not to let the people down as he is ever ready to continue to provide qualitative representation at any level he finds himself for the people.
In conclusion, anyone interested to run or contest for any office is free to do so and leave Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole alone.
