A plant scientist and international consultant, Dr. Patrick Adebola has called on Nigerians, to use the Yuletide season, to seek the face of God in solving the security and economic challenges confronting the nation.
Adebola who is the Executive Director of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), made the call in his goodwill message to Christians and all Nigerians as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and arrival of a new year.
He said it was a privilege to be alive and tasked Christians to imbibe the attributes of love, peace, humility and service, as Jesus Christ did in the scripture.
The Kogi State born geneticist commended the security agencies for putting their lives on the line for others and enjoined the citizenry to avoid recklessness, gluttony and unnecessary excitement in their celebration.
“I know the current problems facing our country are not insurmmountable. There is nothing beyond the power of God. Let us live in love and call fervently for God’s fresh intervention in the affairs of our country. If we love one another, there will be no room for hatred and crime.
