The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, says Nigeria’s Central Railway Line which commences from Abuja to Itakpe via Lokoja in Kogi state has been approved by the Federal Executive Council, FEC.
The Minister, while giving an appraisal of ongoing rail projects in the country, commended the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari saying the Federal Government had proven its resolve to build critical infrastructure and is not owing any counterpart funding for other rail projects
He said there is no cause for alarm over the expected loan for the Central Rail Line as the business model being adopted would guarantee repayment of the loan.
