Against the recent fulani herdsmen violent attack on Bagana communities in Omala LGA of Kogi state, a lawmaker in the House of Assembly, Rt .Hon. While asking all the stakeholders from the area to work for the restoration of peace commended the effort of the state government for the drafting of security personnel to the area.
He urged the federal government to urgently commence the rehabilitation of the displaced persons by directing NEMA and SEMA to provide relief materials to mitigate their suffering.
Akuh who ,was a former Deputy Speaker of the House appealed to the state government to constitute a high powered panel of inquiry to unravel the remote causes of the incessant pogrom that has defied solution since 2013 when the problem erupted between Agatu/ fulani in Benue state before it escalated to Bagana and its environs in kogi state.
