Kogi Patriotic Group KPG has praised the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs,Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire for citing a 75M primary school project in Olla community in Omala local government.
A letter of commendation written on behalf of the group,by Mohammed Shehu says the efforts of the SDGs in Ogodu Community with projects at Government Secondary School Ogodu, will bridge the gap of dillapidated structures yearning for renovation in the schools.
He says the Multi Million naira projects in the two Communities was an indication that the intervention agency deserve a pass mark on it’s efforts to revive Education at all levels.
Shehu wants the beneficiary communities not to allow the facilities to be vandalised by criminal elements,urging them to set up a security outfit to protect the new facilities.
SDGs projects had revive the dearth of facilities in Education, Health, Electricity,rural roads not only in these two Communities both the entire states and the country at large.
He says the two Communities expressed gratitude for the gigantic projects cited in Ogodu last year and now in Olla,inspite the tight fiscal policies affecting Budgets implementation over the years.
The group appeal to SSA to the President to extend similar gesture to the entire part of Igala land,Kogi state.
He says the importance of social services to our communities cannot be over emphasised, especially at this critical period of COVID-19 and recession prevalent in the country.
