1. In 2015 the PDP was the governing party in Kogi State, and APC was newly registered as the opposition party;
2. During the 2015 general elections the opposition party ie APC won all the 3 Senate’s seat, and all the 9 FHR seats thus defeating the PDP;
3. The losing party ie PDP went to Tribunal challenging the APC and its candidates on many grounds including the failure to conduct its primary election properly;
4. In all the cases the conduct of the election was upheld by the State Election Tribunal in favor of the APC against the PDP until when we get to the Court of Appeal;
5. On the 08th Dec, 2015 the court of Appeal sitting in Abuja nullified my election and 2 other Senators, and almost ALL the State House of Assembly members on account APC’s failure to conduct its primary election properly as presented and canvassed by PDP and its candidates;
6. It’s not that our party and or our legal team failed to draw the attention of the appellate court to the existing and or already decided position of the Supreme Court on issues that bothered on political party primary;
7. Strangely, the appellate court ignored all our arguments based on our presentation of certified true copies of the Supreme Court previous judgments and went erroneously to nullified our elections and further ban us and including the party APC from participating in the rerun election;
8. We approached the Supreme Court thereafter and we were shockingly turned back adding to our pains;
9. In 2015 the APC was at receiving end by the wrong decision of the appellate court sitting in Abuja, while the PDP gain underservedly from this strange judicial banditry;
10. In 2023, the PDP in Plateau State lost all its legislative elections to my party ie the APC due to the same judicial magic as exhibited presently.
*I wasn’t surprised that the Governor in Plateau survived at the Supreme Court. Assuming the legislative matters terminate at the Supreme Court, they will have escape the on going questionable judgment emanating from the appellate court*;
11. Finally, I want the Nation to know, that, what happened in Plateau State recently has been experienced in Kogi State in 2015 and nothing was done to remedy the judicial absurdity;
*The Chief Justice of Nigeria should find remedy to this strange position of the appellate court, in his capacity as the head of the Nigerian courts.*
