The Founder of the charity group, Tazan Onimisi, donated bags of rice to his staff along with cash gifts, while also donated cash worth over N200,000 to the less privileged and indigent residents on the streets of Gombe State.
Some of the less privileged who benefited from the Sallah packages were youths, women, and men who had little or no hope of securing anything for the Eld El Kabir celebration.
Making the presentations on behalf of Tazan, Ambassador Ajibodi Muniru Majeyibo, said the donation was borne out of the good spirited nature of the initiator who saw the necessity for everyone to fully partake in the celebration of Sallah, in line with Islamic injunctions.
“We gathered here for a similar ceremony as the founder of Tazan Foundation in his magnanimity, extended his hand of fellowship to the less privileged in Kogi Central so that they could enjoy at Sallah.
And today, we are in Gombe State for another show of kindness and benevolence from Tazan,” he said.
Also part of the Foundation representative in Gombe State for the distribution, Amb. Abdullahi Sheriff Abukah described Tazan as a man for all season who has invested most of his resources in putting smile on the faces of the needy.
He further prayed that may Allah continue to supply all his needs while calling on other Muslim faithful who are well to do to extend the joy of the season to their neighbor and immediate society.
Responding on behalf of Tazan Staff, the Assistant Manager of Tazan Transport Services, Mr. Jamilu thanked Tazan for the show of love and the enabling environment provided for them to work and grow.
He further stressed that the Eid El Kabir celebration would be well spent with their loved ones as the food stuff and cash given to them will go a long way in reducing the cost of buying in the market.
