The desperation and malignancy are palpable. Salman Idris’s media team is now peddling a laughable narrative of a “stolen mandate” to justify their principal’s poor performance. Let’s set the record straight! Prince Kolawole Matthew won the election fair and square, and Salman Idris was only declared winner due to some undue external influences.

The people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu know the truth, and they’re not buying Salman Idris’s fake narrative.

It’s rich coming from Salman Idris’s team, talking about “bitter silhouettes” and “self-perpetuating cycles of denial.” Who’s in denial?

The people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu know they got a raw deal, and Salman Idris is just a placeholder until the real representative takes office by the special grace of God.
Prince Kolawole Matthew didn’t “shout himself hoarse” over a stolen mandate; he took the matter to court, where the withdrawal of the case was perpetrated after forseeig a monumental loss.

And what did Salman do?
He hid behind the influence of Yomikola’s bose to get the case withdrawn. That’s not free and fair enough; that’s cowardice from the path of Salman.

The claim that Kolawole Matthew is “suffering from 2023 election pain” is a masterclass in projection. Who’s been crying foul for three years? Who’s been begging for validation? Salman Idris’s team is so desperate that they’re grasping at straws.

Let’s talk about “tangible achievements.” Salman Idris’s 40 pieces of 5kg rice pale in comparison to Kolawole Matthew’s record as Speaker.

As for representing Kogi State in Morocco, we know that’s just a jubilee trip funded by taxpayers at the expense of the great people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu

Salman Idris’s media team is trying to distract from the real issue: his abysmal performance as a representative.

The people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu are still waiting for him to deliver on his promises. Instead of focusing on empty rhetoric, Salman Idris should be working on delivering tangible benefits to his constituents.

The people already know that Kolawole Matthew is a man of substance, not like some people who rely on handouts and influence to get by. Kolawole Matthew will be back, and when he is, Salman Idris will be the one crying foul.
The writing is on the wall: Salman Idris’s time is up.
