Dr.Y.B. Usman,Rector, Federal Polytechnic Idah has condoled with the family and Staff Members of Thunder-bolt Watch Security Limited on a visit to the Abuja office of the deceased, Chief Executive Officer/Director. Deacon Abu . K. Tanko who died in Abuja on 5th September, 2024 after a prolong illness.
In his condolence message, released by the Head, Public Relations and Protocols,of the Polytechnic, Sunday Sule Omale, the Rector described the death of the Security Chief as a great loss to the family, the institution and the country at large, noting his organisation’s effort in the war against insecurity at the Federal Polytechnic Idah,before his demise.
Dr. Usman sympathized with family and friends of late Deacon Tanko while commending the high level of humility he displayed within their short period of meeting when he assumed duty as Rector.
He further noted that late Tanko was a simple person, always straight to the point and very truthful. “He was such a good man and a friend to the Federal Polytechnic Idah” He stressed.
To master King David Abu-Tanko, son to the late CEO/Director, who led other staff members to receive Dr Y. B. Usman, he admonished him to accept what has happened as the will of God and to see that God has given him the mantle of leadership just like his father at the tender age.
He urged the staff to support the son in realizing his father’s vision for the organisation and pledged the commitment of the Polytechnic to the organisation.
Comr. Sadiq Abubakar Suleiman, Corporate Services/Human Resources who led other staff thanked the Polytechnic Management for standing with the organisation during its darkest period.
The Rector was accompanied by Alh. A. D. Onoja(Ag. Bursar), Mrs E. J. Apenja(Deputy Registrar- Admission) and Mr. S. S. Omale, Head, Public Relations and Protocol.
Deacon Abu k. Tanko has since been buried on 14th September, 2024 .
