The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential screening committee, Chief John Oyegun on Friday claims that only one presidential aspirant kicked against consensus candidate.
He also stated that 99 percent of the party’s presidential candidates have agreed to back a consensus candidate.
He claimed that there was “only one exception,” though he did not name anyone.
On Friday, Oyegun revealed this while presenting the committee’s report to the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
“On the issue of consensus, we engaged every aspirant.” The fact that 99 percent agreed that the party is in charge is a pleasant surprise. And that whatever the party decides, they will most likely accept it after proper consultation.
