Stakeholders of Ajaokuta Ward in Ajaokuta Local Government Area have declared their strong support for the re-election bid of Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.
The stakeholders, comprising the political structure of Hon. Baba Ali, a respected political figure, alongside members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), past and serving appointees, and other party faithful, unanimously endorsed the lawmaker for a second term in office.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Baba Ali pledged unalloyed loyalty to all APC candidates, including President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for Senate, and Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem for re-election into the House of Representatives.
He emphasised the importance of consistency and loyalty in politics, stating: “We do not say yes today and go behind to say no. “I will personally lead the campaign for the re-election of Hon. Sanni Egidi. he added
Hon. Baba Ali also preached peace and unity, urging stakeholders to shun division.
Also speaking, Hon. Mohammed Haruna Ganaja, the APC Chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming election, commended the people of Ajaokuta Ward for their sincerity and steadfastness.
He expressed confidence that their support for Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi remains unwavering, adding that one tenure is not sufficient for any House of Representatives member to fully implement developmental programmes and consolidate on achievements.
In his response, Rt. Hon. Sanni Abdulraheem expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming support and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality representation.
He recounted some of his achievements across the constituency and promised to intensify efforts in addressing pressing challenges facing the people.
The lawmaker also echoed the call for peace as advocated by Hon. Baba Ali, noting that the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ododo, is a strong advocate of peace.
He urged party members and supporters to conduct their political activities without rancour and to uphold unity in the interest of sustained development.
