The new Kogi State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Pst. (Mrs) Mofoluwaso Williams has assured the prospective corps members of 2021 Batch C stream 1 Orientation course, of a fascinating experience and a hitch free camping.
In statement by the Assistant Director of Publicity, NYSC Kogi, Rev. Adedapo Tayo, in Lokoja, the Coordinator said the 2021 Batch C Stream 1 Orientation course had been billed to commence on October 20 to November 9, 2021.
According to her, the three-week Camp induction is to commence officially on October 26, 2021 with the “Swearing-in Ceremony.
She added that the Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Richard Olorunfemi, would administer the service oath and the National pledge for the Corps members
The statement noted that the new state coordinator had earlier familiarised herself with the NYSC collaborating Agencies, such as the Army Police, National Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), the Directorate of State Security Service (DSS), among others.
She noted that the essence of the familiarisation tour was to revamp the existing synergy for effective camping in accordance with the national directive on camp issues.
Williams said that she had similarly met with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to discourage night journeys among the prospective corps members.
She added that preparations were ongoing for the passing out of Batch B 2020 stream 1 on Oct. 21, 2021.
