The people of Magongo in Ogori Magongo Local Government of Kogi State have commended the effort of Mrs. Helen Chizoba Imo-Balogun, who, together with her association, the National Association of Nigerian Nurses in North America (NANNNA), New Jersey Chapter in a project titled “Take Me to Your Village” was able to extend this extraordinary kindness and magnanimity in the provision of valuable facilities to the Basic Health Clinic in Magongo.
This commendation was made by Prince Samson Akpata during the commissioning of the projects in the community.
The prince expressed the overwhelming joy and gratitude of the community for this generosity and humane disposition of the Association towards the plights of the masses said the facilities will go a long way in protecting the citizenry against outbreaks of diseases as well as curtailing further intrusion of domestic animals in the health center.
Prince Akpata thereby urged the staff of the clinic to take possession of the facilities with uptimal guide against vandalization and destruction as they were provided to enhance their efficiency.
Responding on behalf of the community, Mrs Oyedare Justina Oboromeni the officer in charge of the clinic expressed her deepest gratitude to the organization for their kind gesture and philanthropist efforts at making significant impacts in the lives of Magongo community.
She further appreciated the passionate and continual supportive efforts of Mrs Helen Chizoba Imo-Balogun at prioritizing the welfare of Magongo above other issues through the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses in North America and promised to ensure the protection and maintenance of the facilities provided for the wellbeing of the citizenry.
She concluded her remarks with words of prayers for the association for sustainability in the provision of clinical equipments for the clinic in their next program.
Amongst the facilities provided are: two Soakaway Pits, Pedestrian Gate and three WC water system toilets.
