A called has gone to the People Democratic Party( PDP) to concentrate on its campaigns and leave the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole alone as the Speaker is too busy beyond their deliberate distractions.
The Chief Press Secretary to Speaker, Femi Olugbemi disclosed this in reaction to the PDP Kabba/Bunu Media Team tirade wherein they accused the Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole leadership of the Assembly as a threat to democracy which he has duly responded to.
‘Their reactions to me shows that the party is not busy, hence they want to be seen doing something to justify the huge resources made available to them to prosecute a media war with the representative in whom the people of his constituency are well pleased’
Olugbemi said this is just a hint of the plans of the PDP to unleash mayhem in the constituency before, during and after the November 16 governorship and senatorial elections, hence the commencement of the assignment by dishing out falsehood to cajole the people.
‘We were all in this state when impunity reigned supreme under the watchful eyes of their party, PDP when Speakers of the Kogi State House of Assembly are changed at the will and even some at gunpoint; Rt Hon. Abdullahi Bello’s case is still fresh in our memory’
He said all issues raised as regard the impeachment process of the former Deputy Governor Simon Achuba has been properly addressed as captured in the press statement signed and issued on Sunday, 20th October, 2019  by the House Leader, Hon Hassan Bello Balogun of Ajaokuta State Constituency.
He further stressed that since PDP Kabba/Bunu is  now an interested party, they can as well approach the court on behalf of Elder Simon Achuba to seek redress.
He advised the media team to get more serious to promote and launder the battered image of their party instead of wasting their precious time on someone who has carved a niche for himself considering his monumental achievements as a legislator who just won the *Democracy Heroes Award as the Most Outstanding State Assembly Speaker in Nigeria* alongside other prominent Nigerians who have contributed in no small measure to the entrenchment of the tents of democracy in Nigeria.
He said the impunity and laziness of the party has led to the exodus of many of their chieftains who have abandoned their party, PDP  in recent times to join the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, noting that just yesterday in Aiyede, Olle-Okeofin ward, Hon Seyi Bello an aspirant for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency under their party at the just concluded general election in February decamped to APC with hundreds of his supporters across the federal constituency.
He said among other laws made by the Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole led Assembly is the Youth Development Commission that provide platform for the youths of the state to explore their God given talents, as the commission will provide the necessary support for them, aside the road traffic management bill implementation with staff recruitment and the revolution in the revenue collection is not without the amendment of the existing laws just to mention a few.
