non political group, Good Governance in Kogi (GGK) has said that the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole is not only the political leader in Kabba district but in Kabba/Bunu and Kogi west being the highest political office holder in the zone.
In a press statement signed and issued on Friday by the leader of the group Mr. Joseph Ola, he said some selfish people in Kabba and in Yagba axis are plotting against the speaker simply because of his rising political profile.
He pointed out that since the creation of the state, Kolawole remain one of the best Speakers of the assembly the state has ever produced considering his giant contributions to law making sector and empowerment for the people.
He stressed that those plotting against the speaker are those that did not have good interest of Kogi west particularly Kabba/Bunu people at heart as he called on the people of Kogi west and Kabba in particular to rally round the speaker so that he can move the area forward.
“The relationship of the speaker and other members of the state assembly is cordial. He is performing his function very well and also according to the Constitution.
“His relationship with governor has also gave positive impact to kogi west, Kabba and the state assembly. His good representative at the assembly as speaker is highly commendable. We just have to support him because he is the political leader in Kabba,” he said.
He said Kolawole leadership qualities distinguish him from others.
