A non political group, Yagba for Peace has tongue lashed a member representing Yagba East in Kogi State Assembly, Hon. Jimoh Omiata for working against the removal of the Secretary to Kogi State Government, Dr. Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade from office.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the spokeperson, Comrade George Shola which a copy was made available to Kogiflame.

The group noted that Omiata worked against the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the last presidential and state assembly election which led to the failure of the party in Yagba East.

According to the group Omiata is working for the removal of the SSG and to be replaced with some body from Lokoja_Koton/Karfi for his own personal and selfish interest.

“During last election he allegedly collected money from Leke Abejide of African Democratic Congress (ADC) and work against work Henry Abimnola of All Progressive Congress (APC). All this contributed why APC lost in Yagba east.

“He did not sponsored one single bill for four years and never carry out oversight functions despite the fact that he is the chairman”, the group said.

The group therefore called on the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Chief of Staff, Chief Edward Onoja to checkmate the anti party activities of Hon. Omiata stressing that such person can not be given bigger responsibility.

The group also commended the governor for given them more federal constituency that is Yagba, Kabba/Bunu_Ijumu and Lokoja/KotonKarfi federal constituency.
