Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole has visited the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja to identified with Mrs Uchenna Okeigbo, who hail from Abia state that gave birth to quintuplets; 3 boys and 2 girls few days ago after seventeen years of marriage.
The Speaker marveled at the wonderful works of God that enable the woman to conceive 17 years she got married and delivered 5 children at a go.
The matron of the hospital, Mrs Louis Adeosun who took the Speaker’s entourage round the ward said it is an act of God and the diligent way of handling patients in the hospital, stressing that the doctor who look after her right from the antenatal day. Dr Grace Ogoke she said is an outstanding doctor with track records.
She said despite the fact that the woman gave birth through cesarean section, the five children and mother are in perfect conditions except one, who as at the time of the Speaker’s visit is still in the incubator for him to be strong.
Mrs Okeigbo expressed her joy and appreciation to God, thanked the Speaker for the visit and donations.
The Speaker promised to continue to check on her and the children, praying that God shall continue to keep them and make them to live a fulfilled life.
In the same vein, the Speaker also reached out to another twins delivered by Mrs Bosede Samuel from Mopa in Mopamuro Local Government Area.
