THE Peoples Democratic Party major contender for the party’s governorship ticket, for the forthcoming November governorship election, Abubakar Ibrahim, says he should be counted out of the party’s governorship campaign council.
Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim in a statement issued on Tuesday said following the unresolved issues after the party’s governorship primaries, asked to be excused from the constituted campaign council.
While insisting that he is still remain a member of the PDP, has however chosen not to be included for the above mentioned reason, opt out of the campaign council, wished the party well in their undertaken.
Abubakar Ibrahim insisted that due process must be followed in enlisting names of members of the council rather than been done on the pages of social media and newspapers
He said he remained irrevocably committed to the ideals of the party, provided Justice prevail in all it’s programs and ramifications
Abubakar Ibrahim wished the party well in the build up towards the November Governorship election.
In a statement signed by the former Acting Governor, and issued to newsmen, said the inclusion of the names of Hon. Abiodun Ojo, Hon. Badamasuiyu Abdulrahman, Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim, Hon Eric Fiki, and about thirty others belonging to the Abubakar Ibrahim Campaign Organization were not with their consent.
Chief Olafemi, pointed out that the Abubakar Ibrahim Campaign Organization is presently in court seeking redress over the primaries, and is poised at pursuing the case to its logical conclusion.
The Statement however further said that all the mentioned names belonging to the Abubakar Ibrahim Campaign Organization whose name were listed, still remain bonafide members of the Peoples Democratic Party, but bent on seeking justice through legal redress, wished to dissociate themselves from the Engr. Musa Wada Governorship Campaign Council.
