The Kogi State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has expressed strong confidence in the leadership of Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, National Chairman and other recently elected members of it’s National Working Committee, to get the party back to reckoning.
The State Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Bode Ogunmola said this on Monday, in a good will message on the occasion of Dr. Ayu’s 69th birthday. He noted that the successful conduct of the party’s national convention and calibre of stewards it produced are pointers that the PDP was hail and hearty.
“It is a pleasant coincidence that your birthday is coming up shortly after the convention. Your emergence is a worthy birthday gift to our great party and the nation at large.
“It is our prayer that God will guide you to deploy your wisdom and rich wealth of experience in staring our party back to power to meet the yearnings of Nigerians and pull the ship of state back on course.
“We are proud to associate with you as inlaw to the State and wish you many happy returns of your birthday.
Similarly, the former Governor of Kogi State, Jakadan Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has sent a message of Congratulations to the newly elected National Chairman,People’s Democratic Party PDP,Dr Iyorchia Ayu and National Publicoty Secretary of the party,Kola Ologbodinyan on their birthdays.
The former Govenor of Kogi state in a statement prayed for more years to the new PDP National Chairman in it’s efforts to reposition the main opposition party in Nigeria.
He said his new age will definitely prepare him for the task ahead with determination as he prepared to assume duty in December.
Idris also used the occasion to pray for the PDP National Publicity Secretary,Kola Ologbodinyan describing him as a man of his words both in action and conduct.
He urged the PDP spokesman to continue to propagate the good slogan of the party, even as he prepared to bow out of office,stating that the party needs his wealth of experience not only in Kogi state,but acrosa the country.
Idris commended Mr Ologbodinyan for his maturity in the conduct of business of opposition party in Nigeria,saying this had won the heart of many Nigerians back to PDP.
He wished him many more years both in his professional calling and future endeavors.
