The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has thrown its weight behind Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for a second term in the National Assembly, citing what it described as her exceptional legislative achievements within a short period.
State PDP Chairman, Muhammed Sanni Gambo, made the position known during a party gathering in Okene, where he commended the senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District for her impactful representation.
Gambo described Akpoti-Uduaghan as “a pride to representation” and a model of effective leadership, noting that her performance has set her apart among her colleagues in the Senate.
According to him, her track record over the past two years justifies the party’s decision to grant her an automatic ticket for re-election.
“If within two years she has delivered such meaningful legislative results, then she clearly deserves the full support of her constituents,” he said.
He added that the senator represents “a winning team that should not be changed,” expressing optimism that her return to the Senate could pave the way for her to assume a principal leadership role.
The PDP chairman also called on other public office holders to emulate her exemplary qualities, which he said reflect integrity, dedication, and a deep commitment to the welfare of the people.
Gambo further described support for Akpoti-Uduaghan as a vote for inclusiveness and grassroots development.
“Supporting her is supporting the less privileged, orphans, and women’s empowerment. It is a vote for integrity and sincere representation,” he stated.
He urged constituents in Kogi Central to unite behind her re-election bid, stressing that her performance has raised the bar for legislative representation in the district since 1999.
