The Kogi State Hajj Commission said that it would commence enlightenment programme for all intending pilgrims for 2019 hajj exercise as from 15th to 26t June 2019.
In a statement by the Public Relations officer of the commission, Isah Abdulrahman, added that the enlightenment programme will also hold on Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th between 9am and 12pm while Monday and Tuesday would be between 2pm to 5pm
The statement also said that Medical screening for intending pilgrims will take place simultaneously across the three senatorial districts on 23rd of June 2019 at Okene, Anyigba and Lokoja respectively.
According to Abdulrahman, administrative screening, inoculation and distribution of items to pilgrims would hold on 26th June 2019 at the various zonal training centers across the state.
The statement stressed that participation for training and screening exercise is mandatory for all the intending pilgrims as part of key preparation for this year’s hajj exercise, saying all pilgrims must be puntual.
The centers for the enlightenment programme includes; Darul Arqam high school Agassa Okene, Islamic Center, Adogo, Ajaokuta and Nuru Islam Nursery/ Primary school Anyigba.
Others are College of Arts and Islamic studies Ankpa, Institute of Arabic and Islamic studies, Lokoja and Jama’tul Nasir Islam (UBE) secondary school, Kabba.
While the commencement of training and medical screening would take place at various centers simultaneously, the commission encourages these yet to submit their E-Pasport and other screening items to do so before Saturday 15th June 2019.
The statement noted that those still interested in making the payment of N1,531,059.10k and those yet to complete their payment for the Hajj exercise to do so before Saturday 15th June 2019, while payment for Hadaya of N40,005.3k is to be made at jaiz bank Lokoja.
