Ahead of the 2019 Kogi Governorship election scheduled for 2nd November, the members of Kogi Restoration Movement (KRM) have pledged their Support for Jibrin Usman as he enters the Governorship race.

The Kogi Restoration Movement in statement issued in Lokoja after a meeting of the group, pledged their unalloyed support to the aspiration of the one time Chief of Naval Staff under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, Jibrin Usman, who recently declared his intention to run for the highly exalted position of the Governor of Kogi State under the All Progress Congress, APC.

The Coordinator of the Movement, Hon. Comrade Ahmed Muazu made the position of the movement known said the group is adopting the Ex service Chief as its candidate.

The declaration to contest the forthcoming election by Jibrin Usman, according to Com. Ahmed was an answer to the prayers of the good people of Kogi State.

He stated that the support for the candidature of Jibril Usman by the movement bdated back since 2017, was borne out of the deepest conviction of his capacity and capability to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the State as well as reposition the state for development.

The group observed with pleasure the giant contributions made by the Naval boss during his service years to the development of the state, describing it as a pointer that if given the opportunity he would do more for the state.

Com. Ahmed noted some of the achievements of the Military Chief to include; Establishment of Naval base in Banda, Idah and Naval secondary school at Okura among several others.

The Coordinator described the candidate as the man with the right
CHARACTER, CAPACITY, CAPABILITY, COMPETENCE and COMPASSION for the land and the people of our dear state. He listed some of his qualities to include; Passion for physical and infrastructural development, his great disposition to the safety and protection of our common treasury, and described him as a natural solution to the RESTORATION of GOOD GOVERNANCE in Kogi State come November 2019.

Also speaking in the same vain, the group’s campaign mobilizer of Kogi Restoration Movement Hon. Comrade Abayomi  Tanko Durotola, extolled the virtues and charisma in the person of Rtd. Vice- Admiral, describing him as a humane philanthropist and visionary leader of professional acumen and lover of the youths.

At the end of epoch meeting, the coordinators pledged the support of their group with membership across the state to the actualization of the aspiration of Jibrin Usman before, during and after the elections assuring that the group will immediately commence aggressive campaign for the candidature of Jibril Usman.

They group finally called on the people of Kogi State to close ranks with the group to enable them actualise their dreams, assuring that the state would be better repositioned under the Administration of Jibril Usman.
