The Nigeria National Volunteer Service (NNVS) has passed a vote of confidence on the governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Zakari Alfa to be next governor of Kogi State.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the Secretary of the union, Abubakar Lawal and the public relation officer David Usman.

The statement added that Zakari Alfa does not believe in a do or die affair in politics but that because of his firm concern for Kogites and in view of his wide experience both in public and private services, he believes he can change the narrative of governance from her present state of decay to a vibrant state.

“Where the dreams of Kogites will be rejuvenated and the people will rejoice under his watch as the commissioner for finance and economic development, he did not only discharged his duties loyalty and efficiently, he created streams of future earnings to provide for the next generation of Kogi State.

” He carved an image for himself as a Senior State Official, he had a zero tolerance for fiscal misconduct and mismanagement of Government Funds and other acts of corruption.

” In view of the above, the executive and members of the Nigeria National Volunteer Service and some groups of political parties deem it fit to recommend him to Kogi people because we find in him a square peg in a square hole.

The group therefore advise that the crops of the next leadership of Kogi State should be those that has traversed the state and are known in all the senatorial district.

“We are proud of his pedigree and competence, we therefore pass a vote of confidence in the person of Alhaji Zakari Alfa as ably qualified to be the next governor of Kogi State” they stated.
