The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has congratulated the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KSIEC) for conducting free, fair and credible local government council elections last Saturday.
The Secretary General of MACBAM, Mallam Adamu Abubakar in a press statement issued on Monday, said the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for winning all the 21 local government councils and all the councellor seats in all the 239 wards in the state is a testimony that governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello is performing well.
He congratulated all the APC candidate, their vice chairmen and the councellors on their victory.
He thanked the people of Ajaokuta local government council for voting for the APC chairmanship candidate, Hon. Prince Mustapha Akaba as the chairman of Ajaokuta local government council.
He described governor Yahaya Bello as a practical example in the history of democracy to have made women vice chairmen of local government councils across the state and also recognising them at the ward level as council leaders.
He called on all the elected chairmen not to disappoint the governor and the people of the state but that they should always listen to electorates and try to solve their problems in their domain.
He also urged them to identify with their fulani members across the state and provide them with social aminities to eleviate suffering and also give them sence of belonging.
