One of the leading literary Association in Nigeria, the Association of Nigerian Authors, (ANA) Kogi state Chapter, has marked its 2023 end of the year party, which among other things, featured were the musical entertainment , Poetic presentation, Literary Presentation
The dignitaries present are prominent leaders of the association and menbers who have come together to give glamour to the occasion. There was stage drama display, poetic and literary Presentations.
The end of year party which took place at Rakiya Ogbeyas place, GRA, Lokoja on Tuesday witnessed colourful literary skills.
In his address, the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Temitope Joel, said the members have gathered today to marked the end of year 2023, which was filled with lot of achievements, urged members to continue to show commitment and dedication at all times,and be of good conduct and respect the extant rules and regulations governing the association.
According to him, the association has been at forefront of promoting reading culture among students in most schools in the state, urging members to sustain the tempo in order to strengthen their bond of cooperation and unity.
He also thanked members for maintaining a high level of discipline and being good ambassadors even as he expressed gratitude to God for the success of the outgoing year and his protection upon members.
He said the gathering was an opportunity for members to once again unwind and network as they prayed for the success of every member in the 2023 fiscal year in their various endeavours.
He revealed that the Association has gotten one of the notable stakeholder who promised to assist the ANA, saying the prominent writer and author, Chief Tunde Olusunle has decided to be one of the patron of the chapter.
Guests were in high spirit and as they wined and dined in happiness for the mercy of God that brought them till the end of the year.
Performances from musical, poet and stage drama display got members of the association excited as many display their skills.
While appreciating God for making the day a reality, one of the notable leader of the Association, Mrs Bala Gbogbo thanked all members for the commitment and dedication to the great association.
Mrs. Gbogbo assured members of ANA commitment to continue to build students through regular reading culture to be world class leaders, noting that doing this,the students will come out in flying colours.
She also advised school management most especially teachers for their sacrifices in impacting them with knowledge assured the school’s management to ensure the students imbibed in reading culture.
