Vote Kachikwu for President, a group in the African Democratic Congress ((ADC), Kogi state chapter has passed confidence vote on the state chairman of the party, Mr. Kingsley Ogga and blamed Honorable Leke Abejide, the ADC Candidate of Yagba federal Constituency of anti party
The group in a statement issued on Monday and made available to kogiflame which was signed by Mr. Joseph Arome Idris blamed the party’s Yagba federal constituency candidate, Honourable Leke Abejide for anti party activities in the party.
The group noted that Abejide members of the National Assembly representing Yagba federal Constituency has failed to support the presidential candidate of the party, Mr Dumebi Kachikwu.
According to the group, during the party’s presidential candidate visit to Kogi state, Abejide refused to attend the meeting, rather he is supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC). Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The group accused him of working with James Faleke whereby he open a campaign office for Tinubu in Lokoja.
The group wandered why Abejide will be fighting the state chairman of the party, Kingsley Ogga for no reason, stressing that nobody can removed the state chairman from office and called him to stop his anti party activities in the state.
“He is contesting for Yagba federal Constituency under ADC and he won. He wanted to decamp from ADC to APC so that he can contest again asking governor Yahaya Bello to give him automatic ticket but the governor refused. Now is contesting again under ADC and he is working for APC Presidential candidate when we have our own candidate that is very bad”, he said.
