The Enjema Community in Ankpa local government area of Kogi State, recently went agog as the Kogi State Government, under the NG-CARES program flagged off DL I 1.4 Community Projects.
The two projects flagged off include: the construction of a Motorized boreholes and an Administration Block renovation at the cost of N15, 851,640,00.
The Community used the flag off to celebrate Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, Chief Dauda Momoh, General Manager, Community and Social Development Agency, and Hon.Mariam Muazu Abimaje.
Speaking on behalf of the Community, HRH Yunusa Maxwell Ameh, Onuh Enjema, lauded the efforts of the State Government in the development of the Community.
The Traditional Ruler described the present administration in the State as one that has come to put smiles on the faces of the people, assured of all the support needed for the administration to succeed.
He lauded the State Government for bringing governance closer to the doorsteps of the people, assured that the community will take ownership of the project from inception to completion by protecting the infrastructure.
Recalled that the KCSDA gave approval for funding of CDP to Enjema Community following the request for community expression of Interest seeking support for development plans on 2nd March, 2022
The project is under the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus programme. The total value of the approved CDP agency support is N15,455,349.00
In his remarks, Chief Dauda O. Momoh, the General Manager, KCSDA, who presented the project fund draft, praised Gov. Ododo for making rural and Community development his major priority.
He reiterated the resolve of the agency to commission a hundred projects supported by the present administration for commissioning as part of activities to mark the administration one hundred days in office.
The General Manager described the present administration of Gov Ododo as one committed to the transformation of rural communities, assuring that his administration that is people oriented will bring development to the rural communities in the State.
